Elite policemen raid Salafi mosque in northern Germany
Counterterror forces from the German police on Wednesday raided a mosque in the northern city of Hildesheim where arms were suspected to be hidden, as well as the homes of dozens of activists from the city's Muslim community. They made arrests and confiscated incitement materials and computers. Muslim clerics who were in the mosque at the time of the raid called for revenge against the German authorities for breaking into a "holy place". Pictures and videos posted on social networks showed that the police used significant force, with over 400 policemen participating in the operation that left a large amount of damage. Some of the pictures showed female policemen and counterterror troops within the mosque.
