Erdogan responsible for deterioration of Israel-Turkey ties, Yaalon says

Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon on Thursday slammed Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan and accused him of direct responsibility for the deterioration of bilateral ties in recent years. "We won't be able to reach an agreement with the Turks as long as Ankara supports Hamas," he said, adding "We are ready for an agreement, but we also have our own terms." Yaalon made the statements at a news conference in Switzerland with his Swiss counterpart Guy Parmelin.
The comments came after a delegation of senior Israeli officials met the previous day with a Turkish delegation to discuss restoring ties, and reported a "good atmosphere" and progress in the negotiations.
