Europe rolls out vaccination program

A coordinated vaccination program was launched on Sunday across the European Union’s 27 member nations, starting with medical workers, nursing home residents and political leaders. Italy and Spain are among the  most severely hit spots in the world by the coronavirus pandemic. Altogether, the EU has recorded at least 16 million coronavirus infections and more than 336,000 deaths on record – possibly more if missed cases and limited testing are factored in.
