Europe warned of Islamist terror by car bomb, kidnappings
The Europol police agency Friday issued a new report alerting EU citizens to the threats posed by Islamic State terrorists, individuals or groups, plotting car bombings, kidnappings and extortion. Europol's Director Rob Wainwright said all EU member states assisting in US-led coalition attacks on ISIS could be targeted.
Less than two weeks ago, the US State Department reported “credible information” that ISIS is planning attacks in Europe during the Christmas season.
