Ex-Defense Minister Ya’alon says he will run for prime minister

Former Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon announced Thursday afternoon during his first speech since his resignation that he will return to politics and compete in the next national elections for the prime ministership. He attacked Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu and called on him to "stop frightening the country's citizens" and halt what he called the manipulation of the Israeli media so the government can survive.
