Ex-Mossad chief Cohen: Israel consensus vital as Iran’s threat spirals
Yossi Cohen, former Mossad chief, issued an appeal on Sunday to put the debate on the government’s judicial reform plan to dialogue and consensus, as was customary in past controversies. Or put it on ice. This was all the more urgent at a time when every Israeli is in peril from Iran’s pervasive and widening threat. The Islamic Republic’s malevolent foothold is planted in every corner of the Middle East, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, while its proxies and hirelings sow terror against Israelis and Jews in every part of the world. Vast quantities of sophisticated weapons are being poured out to our enemies, endangering out national security as never before. Nothing is more urgent at this time, Cohen stressed, than national unity against a common danger.
