Ex-PM Olmert walks free Sunday after prosecution rules out appeal

Israeli prosecutors decided on Thursday evening not to appeal the decision by a parole board to reduce the jail sentence of former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert by a third, thus paving the way for him to be released on Sunday. Olmert has been in jail since February 2016 after being convicted on corruption charges.
