Ex-President Mubarak’s two sons charged with stock market violations

Alaa and Gamal, sons of the ousted Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak, were detained by the Cairo Criminal Court with five others on Saturday on charges of “stock exchange manipulation.” The court adjourned the case until Oc. 20 because it was incomplete. The prosecution charged the defendants with obtaining LE2.5 billion, the amount they made from selling the al-Watany bank, in violation of Capital Market Law and the Central Bank, to gain unlawful profits.
