Exclusive: Four Egyptian armored divisions took part in coup
DEBKAfile’s military sources disclose exclusively that the army deployed four armored divisions in Wednesday's coup against President Mohamed Morsi and his Muslim Brotherhood government . The 2nd and 9th Divisions were posted to Cairo and two divisions of the Third Army were held on the capital’s main road entrances ready to enter Cairo if necessary.
