Explosion on Iranian vessel opposite Haifa

The Iranian-flagged container vessel Shar-e Kord suffered an explosion in the eastern Mediterranean offshore Haifa on Wednesday. Imagery showed crew fighting a fire in a container in the forward part of the vessel that could have been caused by a seaborne rocket or internal combustion. The ship was bound for the Syrian port of Latakia.
