Explosion at the US embassy in Montenegro. No casualties
An unidentified attacker threw an explosive device Wednesday night into the US embassy compound in the Montenegro capital of Podgorica, before killing himself with another device. There were no other injuries or damage. The device was likely a hand grenade. The embassy earlier issued a security alert, advising citizens to stay away from the building. The US State Department said embassy officials were working with police to identify the assailant. Montenegro on the Adriatic Sea joined NATO last year.
