Eytan Naeh is first Israeli ambassador to Ankara since 2010

It was announced in Jerusalem Tuesday that Eytan Naeh (53) had been appointed Israel’s ambassador to Turkey, marking the restoration of diplomatic relations between Israel and Turkey that were severed in 2010 in the row over the Mavi Marmara flotilla to Gaza. Israel and Turkey concluded a reconciliation pact in June. Eytan Naeh is a former consul general in Ankara, served as ambassador to Azerbaijan, as head of the foreign relations department of the National Security Council and as chargé d’affaires at the Israeli embassy in London.
