FBI looking into terrorist motive for university attack
The attack at Ohio State University Monday was carried out by an 18-year old Somali male who came as a refugee and was given legal permanent resident status in the US. Columbus police have not released his name. The FBI is checking his background to discover if he had a terrorist motive. The attack began with him running over pedestrians with an SUV in the northern campus of the university, then jumping out and cutting people with a butcher’s knife. Ten people were injured, one of them critically. Within moments, he was tackled by a police officer and shot dead.
