Female suicide bomber blew up Russian bus killing seven

The woman killed seven people and injured 30 on the bus she blew up in Volgograd in southern Russia Monday. DEBKAfile: The terrorist was from Dagestan, a region neighboring Chechnya, and the widow of an Islamist suicide bomber. She remarried a Russian and converted him to radical Islam. He is now the target of a federal manhunt.

There was no claim of responsibility for the Volgograd attack.  It was the first terrorist attack to take place outside the North Caucasus since Chechen rebel leader Doku Umarov called three months ago for the resumption of attacks on civilians and the targeting of the Sochi Winter Olympic Games scheduled for February.
