Fire at Iran’s space center kills three scientists

Iran’s Telecommunications Minister Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi reported Sunday that three researchers had died “because of a fire in one of the buildings of the Space Research Center.” He did not say which building caught fire, what caused it or how it would affect Tehran’s plan to launch a satellite into orbit. Washington has criticized these launches as benefiting Iran’s ballistic missile program.
