Fire on Russian plane leaves 41 dead, 37 survivors
A Russian Aeroflot plan burst into flames upon landing at Sheremetyevo airport in Moscow on Sunday night killing 41 people including two children and a flight attendant. Emergency exit slides were opened swiftly and allowed 33 passengers and four crew members to escape. Five people are in hospital. Aeroflot said the plane was forced to return to the airport “for technical reasons,” but did not elaborate.
