First 2,600 US troops land in Poland to strengthen NATO-East

The US troop contingent landed at Rzeszow military base in SE Poland on Saturday. On Wednesday, President Joe Biden order nearly 3,000 extra troops to Poland and Romania to shield NATO’s eastern flank from a potential spiller from crisis over the Russian military buildup on the Ukraine border.
