First confirmation of Israeli air strike over Syria by PM and Defense Minister

The weekly cabinet session began in Jerusalem on Sunday with Israel’s first admission of an Israeli air strike over Syria. Binyamin Netanyahu, prime minister and defense minister, stated that the Israeli air force had Saturday night struck warehouses containing Iranian weapons at Damascus airport. “Our latest attacks prove that we are more determined than ever to take action against Iran in Syria,” he said. DEBKAfile’s military sources: This was the first time since the IDF offensive against Iranian targets in Syria was launched that an Israeli official at the highest level has publicly admitted to responsibility.

Always problems at Damascus Airport. Always bringing in bombs, electronic material of war and other bad stuff. Hmmm…it seems to me that the airport needs to be shut down completely and permanently.

Iran is trying to establish a forward base to attack Israel.
