The first American victim to die of coronavirus was a woman in her 50s with underlying health problems in Washington state’s King County. Vice President Mike Pence announced additional travel restrictions affecting Iran, Italy and Korea. As coronavirus continued to spread in Europe, the number of victims in France crossed the 1,000 line and Italy reported the death toll had climbed to sixty.
