Five Hizballah officers and Iranian killed in Israeli helicopter strike

Lebanese sources Sunday night named the six officers killed by two missiles fired by Israeli helicopters over the Golan near Quneitra as Mohammed Issa, a Hizballah commander responsible for its Syrian and Iraqi operations, Jihad Mughniyeh, the son of Imad Mughniyeh, a top Hizbullah operative killed in a 2008 car bombing in Syria blamed on Israel; Mahdi al-Moussawi, Ali Fouad, Hussein Hassan and Abbas Hijazi.

Iranian commander Abu Ali al-Tabtabani was among the dead.

An Israeli security source said earlier that a helicopter had carried out a strike against terrorists in the Syrian sector of the Golan who were preparing an attack on Israel.  Israeli forces on on the ready for a possible Hizballah reprisal.
