Five killed in reported shooting in Slavyansk, E. Ukraine
Russian media reports that Saturday night four cars opened fire on an unarmed checkpoint held by anti-government protesters in Slavyansk, one of the E. Ukraine towns held by separatists,killing three people and seriously injuring another. Armed protesters who were called out shot two of the attackers dead and captured others. Their cars were found to contain firearms, explosives and aerial photos of Slavyansk. The protesters allege they were paramilitary from the Right Sector, one of the factions they claim is part of the government coalition in Kiev.
