Five killed in two PKK attacks on Turkish security forces
Five members of the Turkish security forces were killed in attacks by the PKK Kurdish underground in the southeastern cities of Siirt and Hakkari late Wednesday night. In Siirt, a roadside bomb was detonated by remote control as a police convoy passed, while in Hakkari a car bomb blew up at an army checkpoint. About 20 members of the security forces were wounded in the two attacks.
