Five miners, including Frenchman, seized by gunmen in the Congo

A French citizen working at a gold mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo was kidnapped on Thursday by a group of unidentified gunmen along with three Congolese and one Tanzanian, initial reports said. The Namoya mine owned by Canada's Banro Corporation is in the eastern part of the Central African country.
