Five rockets land inside US Iraq air base, no casualties

Iraq’s security sources reported that Tuesday night, five rockets landed inside the big US air base at Ain al-Assad in western Iraq, causing no casualties. There were no further details.

Anti-government protesters torched the Iranian consulate in the Shiite city of Najaf for the third time, as talks continue for selecting a new prime minister in Baghdad after weeks of protests and crackdown.

There was a song several decades ago that tells all about this problem. The catch line of the song was “Just keep it up, . . . just keep it up, . . . just keep it up, . . . and see what happens”

The “happens” will not be pretty, . . . it never is.

Russian chatter sites with claimed “insider intelligence” info are claiming that the missiles were in fact an Israeli provocation designed to sell Iron Dome systems to the US. Coincidentally these same sites also say the Iron Dome system does not work.

You should expect the trolls to pick this up and promote it.
