FMs from Saudi-led alliance meet in Cairo to plan steps on Qatar
The foreign ministers from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain and the UAE will meet in Cairo on Wednesday to decide whether their countries will continue imposing sanctions on Qatar. Reports in the Egyptian media said senior intelligence officials from the four countries met Tuesday in Egypt's capital ahead of the meeting. The four countries severed relations with Doha last month over its support of terrorist groups and Iran. On June 22 they issued a 13-point list of demands, including the shutdown of the al-Jazeera TV network, in return for ending the diplomatic crisis. The four countries said Wednesday they had received Qatar's response to its demands and will respond "in a timely manner", without elaborating.
