Football icon Diego Maradona dies, aged 60

One of the greatest soccer players ever, Diego Maradona, who led Argentina to the 1986 World Cup title, has died of heart failure aged 60. He was in ill health after struggling with cocaine use and alcoholism for years. Argentine president decreed three days of national mourning for the national icon.  European and Israeli soccer clubs will honor him with a minute’s silence at their next games.
