Former PM Ariel Sharon’s condition is critical
In a special briefing to reporters, Sheba Hospital Director Prof. Zeev Rothstein Thursday morning described former prime minister Ariel Sharon’s condition as critical and life-threatening, although he could not say how close he was to the end. His condition started worsening two weeks ago due to kidney failure and was stabilized, Prof. Rothstein said. This week, his health deteriorated further with multi-system dysfunction for which he is being treated as effectively as possible. Ariel Sharon, aged 85, has spent eight years in a coma after a crippling stroke.
