Four Jerusalem boroughs in lockdown
The ministerial group for coronavirus restrictions Saturday night ruled a lockdown on Jerusalem neighborhoods in four boroughs due to their high rate of infection. Neve Ya’akov, Romema, Ramat Shlomo, Ramat Alon, Har Nof, Givat Shaul, the Bukharim quarter, Mekor Baruch, Givat Mordechai, Geula and Mea Shearim. From Sunday noon to Wednesday morning, people living there will only be allowed to move around within their neighborhoods, while departures and entries are banned except in exceptional situations. Health Minister Yakov Litzman disputed this decision claiming that the ultra-religious neighborhoods were unfairly singled out for the most extreme restrictions.
From Sunday morning, face masks are compulsory out of doors for all adults over the age of six.
