France to sell 30 Rafale fighter jets to Egypt in $5.52bn deal

The transaction in the wake of a visit to Paris in December by President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi, is reported to consist of three defense contracts: 30 Rafale fighter jets worth $5.52bn from Dassault, and two contracts with MBDA and Safra Electronics, manufacturers of equipment for missiles.
