France’s new ‘Terror Law’ passed by small margin
The French National Assembly on Tuesday approved the country's new "Terror Law", under which citizens convicted of terrorism will be stripped of their citizenship, by a small margin of 162 to 148. The law was first proposed by President Francois Hollande. Prime Minister Manuel Valls has strongly backed the measure but Justice Minister Christiane Taubira resigned at the end of January due to her strong opposition.
