French FM: Russia suspended from G8

Shortly after the Putin speech before the Russian lower house Tuesday, French Foreign Miniser Laurent Fabius said that the Group of Eight had suspended Russia’s participation in the Group of Eight. “There will  be seven countries at the next summit,” he said. However, the Russian president was still invited to visit France on June 6 – at the moment.
