French FM in Tehran to persuade Iran to cut down on missiles

French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves le Drian is in Tehran, sent by the European Union for a mission that might rescue the 2015 nuclear accord from President Donald Trump’s plan to dump it in May. The FM came to persuade Iranian leaders to curtail their ballistic mission program and their military intervention in Syria and Yemen, a mission impossible since they have announced adamantly that none of these issues were open to discussion. On Sunday, President Emmanuel Macron tried talking his Iranian counterpart, Hassan Rouhani, round to meeting the French foreign minister half way. The French president is intent on mediating between the Trump administration and Tehran.

your naive–just want to neutralize Iran as a threat to the mid-east. If the west wanted to vaporize Iran it could have done so many years
