French PM at pains to play down links between three terror attacks
French Prime Minister Manuel Valls has said there is "no link" between this week’s attacks in three cities that have left more than 20 people injured and their “motivation is unclear.” Nevertheless, President Francois Hollande has called an emergency cabinet meeting for Tuesday and urged the public not to panic.
Monday, 11 people were injured by a white van which careened into Christmas shoppers in Nantes; Sunday, a driver shouting Allahu Akbar plowed into pedestrians in Dijon, injuring 13 people, after an attacker injured three police officers near Tours on Saturday.
