French PM cancels trip to Israel after condemning IDF over Gaza

French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe has canceled his planned trip to Israel on May 31 for a cultural event, prompting speculation that it stemmed from Paris’ condemnation of IDF actions against the violence riots staged by Hamas in Gaza. The prime minister’s office attributed the cancellation to “domestic policy matters,” without setting a new date for the visit. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is still scheduled to pay a reciprocal visit to France in June to meet with President Emmanuel Macron.

Have you seen the riots in France these past several days pertaining to “the people” upset over having their social system and government “jobs” scaled back? Combine this turmoil and social unrest with their inability to understand the roots of Islamic terrorism and the open-door policy to unlimited “immigration” and you have France and the rest of the EU in a virtual civil war – but with just one side at war and the other side just giving in without a fight at every opportunity to cave.

I don’t think that a country with as much savvy and future prospects as Israel really wants to court EU countries which are on the decline.

The EU bully, punish and condescendingly lecture Israel when the chips are down for Europe because, like all bullies, they are insecure about their own politics and prospects and the spiraling bad effects of leftism which create conditions on the point of no return. Jews used to be unarmed and easy targets for the “masses” – the Jewish State is not.

We need sane Europe and still hope the madness will pass. Just as we need sane Turkey.

In Turkey the generals have yet to grab that gobbling turkey by the crest and rip off his tail.
Donnow how much longer is to wait.

When I think of France being upset that Israel, defending it’s border killed over 50 armed terrorists attempting to do harm to the Jewish state and it’s citizens I find it amazing to think about France and their treatment of the Algerians, ten of THOUSAND dead… tens of thousand wounded, a million homeless…

Then I think of Gaza and I chuckle…

    France..

    LOL

Great point. Yes, important to note that France is not only a former colonizer, it is also a modern-day colonizer in maintaining its military foothold in Chad, Central African Republic and Ivory Coast. It is also active in Syria using disproportionate force in all of them (the local militants, terrorists and armies whom the French confront cannot match French weaponry and so I consider the French to be applying disproportionate force in the way they make the case and accuse Israel of the same).

EU is falling apart and it is because of such fail assessments like this of Philippe. Look, terrorists attacked and IDF fought them off. Well done IDF. What’s the problem Mr. Philippe?!

Israel no longer attempts to curry favour from Europe. They have a sane America and some deep pockets in Sunni land. Who cares what some marxist intellectual thinks in some anti semetic cafe.

the most vile hatred of israel I have ever encountered was inside the home of my wife’s aunt, in mont pellier france, who ranted and foamed at the mouth as she yelled Gaza Gaza Gaza at me, and we are all Jewish

finally I asked her, had she ever been in Gaza, to which she said no

she was an ugly, lonely dyke

when we went to bed, there was no a/c, and there were flying bugs inside the rooms, so we left the next day
