Further worsening in PM Ariel Sharon’s medical condition
In an update Friday, Sheba Hospital Director Prof. Zeev Rothstein reported that the condition of former prime minister Ariel Sharon, 85, was gradually deteriorating 24 hours after it was determined to be critical and he was said to be close to death. The multi-system breakdown continues and clinical and lab tests register an infection for which he is receiving antibiotics and other necessary medication. Prof. Rothstein said that Ariel Sharon was not suffering. It was his personal impression that the former prime minister was close to the end.
