G7 leaders call on Russia to stop interfering in Ukraine
President Barack Obama accused Russia of reviving “dark tactics” of the past in Ukraine at a G7 summit in Brussels – switched from Sochi after Russia’s suspension from the club – which focused on Ukraine and announced possible new sanctions against Moscow. Obama and Vladimir Putin among 18 world leaders are due to attend a ceremony on the beaches of Normandy Friday to mark the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings that led to the defeat of Nazi Germany and end of WWII.
