Gallant: Israel busts Hizballah/Qods money-laundering network

Millions of dollars destined for Hizballah and Al Qods’ terrorist attacks have been seized by Israel in an international operation run by its security agencies to stem their flow of funding.  Defense Minister Yoav Gallant made this disclosure on Tuesday at the third crypto meeting at his office’s unit for economic warfare against terror. He outlined the difficulties of tracking illicit funds when digital routes are increasingly used for money laundering to conceal its sources and their routes to terrorist pockets.

This year, Hizballah, Al Qods and Syrians turned to digital currency for procuring funds from third parties through illegal transactions to support ongoing terrorist activity.
