Gamzu: Lift the weekend coronavirus closures

The coronavirus cabinet session ended on Monday without decisions, heard recommendations and reconvenes on Wednesday to finalize them. Among them are plans for stricter restrictions in specific hotbeds and night curfews.  PM Binyamin Netanyahu said the level of infection must be lowered. The most important thing for now is wearing face masks. The coronavirus director Prof. Ronni Gamzu recommended abandoning the weekend  closures. Monday saw the covid-19 death toll rising to 541, 334 seriously ill with 100 on respirators and a total of 73,231 infections.
