Gantz: Budget constraints force pause in reservist training

IDF Chief of Staff Gen. Benny Gantz said Monday: The IDF annual training program for reservists will not be implemented this year in order to give training for conscripts first priority.” The army chief said, while awarding certificates of excellence to outstanding reservist soldiers, that both programs cannot be executed under the present budgetary constraints, adding: “I am worried about combat fitness at present and in view of what awaits us in the future.”
