Gantz in bitter diatribe opts to support Hauser bill
Kahol Lavan leader, Defense Minister Benny Gantz, announced he would support the Hauser compromise bill for postponing the Monday night budget deadline, since, he said “If an election took place now, blood would flow in the streets.” In a short televized address, hours before the deadline, Gantz expressed bitter disappointment in the four-month old unity government in which he serves as alternate prime minister alongside the incumbent PM Binyamin Netanyahu. “The national reconciliation which I pledged when I entered the coalition has become a mockery,” he complained and, clearly pointing the finger at Netanyahu, added, “along with verbal violence against the guardians of the law.”
