Gantz: The current self-generating chaos can be stilled
Former defense minister Benny Gantz, speaking from opposition, accused prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu of “trading security values for political gain.” He offered three suggestions for quelling the current “self-generating chaos” besetting the country: intelligence-based operations [versus escalating terrorist attacks]; smart diplomacy and stopping people from taking the law in their own hands. Gantz was referring to the furious riots in Palestinian Hawara when hundreds of angry settlers burned homes, shops and cars in revenge for the murder of two Israeli brothers.
