Ganz in bid to form government is snubbed by religious parties

After being tapped by the president to form a government, Kahol Laval prime minister nominee invited Health Minister Yakov Litzman of Torah Judaism and Interior Minister Aryeh Deri of Shas to join his administration. Both refused to break away from the right-wing-religious bloc led by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. They followed in the footsteps of Yemina leader Defense Minister Naftali Bennett. Gantz announced earlier that he would strive to establish a “broad as possible, patriotic” government.

MK Mtanes Shihadeh of the Arab List’s Balad faction commented earlier that Gantz’s chance of forming a minority government is “very low,” explaining: “It’ll be very difficult for the Joint Arab List to support a government which includes Yisrael Beytenu.”
Gantz has 28 days for his effort to form government before the task passes to another Knesset member.

    What a mess!
The person preferred by the voters in growing numbers is shunted aside by a President who simply counts numbers with no regard to reality.
Beitanu is a “right” party which throws in with a leftist. Lieberman thinks with nothing but hatred, while the other ministers of his party won’t exercise their independence and put country above themselves. Same goes for several of the center.
    Very sad
