German and Israel air force jets in first joint flyover and drill
For the first time, Israeli and German fighter jets performed a memorial flyover on Tuesday over the Dachau concentration camp site. One of the Israeli pilots said he was the third generation of a Holocaust survivor. In another symbolic event, the Israel Air Force F-16s and German Eurofighter jets flew over the Fuerstenfeldbruck airbase to commemorate the Palestinian massacre of 11 Israel athletes and one German police officer at the 1972 Munich Olympics.
The Israel air force is holding its first training drill in Germany as part of a two-week program of maneuvers.
