Germany allows Iranian diplomat’s extradition over Paris bomb plot
A German court Monday approved the extradition to Belgium of an Vienna-based Iranian diplomat named as Assadoallah Assadi in connection with a foiled bomb plot against an Iranian opposition demonstration in Paris last June. It was also attended by former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani and former House speaker Newt Gingrich. Six people were arrested in Belgium, France and Germany in the plot, three of Iranian origin. Assadi is suspected of being an Iranian intelligence spy in charge of foiling opposition activity outside the country, who handed explosives to the would-be bombers. .
