Germany: Tip-off by Israel’s spy agency thwarted Iranian biological terror plot
An Iranian man of 32 and his brother, 25, were arrested Saturday night in the German town of Castrop-Rauxel suspected of planning serious “Islamist motived” attacks with deadly toxic cyanide and ricin on Israeli and Jewish organizations. They lived in Germany from 2015. The German authorities earlier described the information as coming from an “allied intelligence agency,” later confirmed to Bild that the Mossad was the source of crucial intelligence. Specialists wearing anti-contamination suits searched the suspects’ home.
