Government aid promised evacuees of Israeli locations on Gaza border
Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon Saturday assured the heads of communities adjoining the Gaza border fence that people choosing to escape incessant Palestinian rocket and mortar fire are entitled to government assistance. He spoke as a string of villages adjoining the border emptied of inhabitants, among them the kibbutzim Nahal Oz and Ain Hashlosha. Heads of the “Fence Forum” sent a letter to the prime minister saying: “If you don’t act, Israel’s line of defense (of border villages) will fall on your watch.”
