Gunman frees teen hostages, is arrested at Moscow school
A gunman shot dead a Russian policeman and a teacher and injured two more people at a school in the northwestern Moscow suburb of Otradnoye Monday, while taking 20 teenagers aged 15 hostage. As police poured onto the scene, the gunman released the hostages and was taken under arrest. The rest of the school was quickly evacuated. Police now believe the gunman was a student himself. If confirmed, this would appear to be a local event unrelated to the high terror alert in force for the forthcoming Olympic Games in Sochi.
