Gunman identified as Israeli Arab by his father

An Israeli Arab from Wadi Ara called in after seeing the CCTV clip broadcast to identity as his son the gunman who shot dead two people and injured eight on Tel Aviv’s Dizengoff St. Friday. Police are investigating amid a major manhunt for the shooter who is still at large. Acquaintances said that the 29-year old had recently embraced an extreme strain of Islam.
