Three female staff found dead at California veterans home after standoff with gunman

After an eight-hour standoff with a gunman holding three hostages, police entered the Veterans Home of California in Yountville early Saturday and found three women staff members dead, along with the gunman. He was described as a client of the Pathway Home, a counseling service for veterans suffering from PTSD, who had left two weeks ago.

I am not condoning what the brother did, in fact if I was there, I certainly would have risked my life to try to save him from himself and the others. But I don’t see it improbable that the former soldier thought he was taking corrective action in that institution run by the clique of the once very important but now deceased ladies, in support of other hurt vets.
