Gunmen attack policemen protecting worshippers in Bangladesh; 3 killed
At least three Bangladeshi policemen were killed and twelve others were wounded on Thursday morning in an attack by Islamist gunmen, including the throwing of bombs, in the city of Kishoreganj located 90 kilometers north of the capital Dhaka. The country's second terrorist attack in less than a week took place as the policemen protected worshippers at a service marking Eid al-Fitr, the end of the month of Ramadan. On June 2, Islamist militants killed 28 people, including 20 hostages, at a cafe in the capital.
